Prior to joining the land bank in 2019, Christie spent 15 years in the private real estate industry. That experience helped her see how and where land banks and their superpowers could fill the gaps in current housing systems. She and her land bank board have been working hard to address blight with both reactive and proactive programs, keeping community needs at the forefront of decisions. Christie holds a degree in Environmental Earth Science from SUNY College at Buffalo, and lives in Erie County, PA with her family.

James Cardman

Appointed by Carol Loll, reappointed by Ellen Schauerman - District 7 | Term expiration: December 31, 2025

Planning and Zoning Administrator at Fairview Township since May of 1989. Graduate of Edinboro University in Geography and Environmental Science . Past positions include PA Dept of Environmental Resources, Erie County Planning, PA Fish and Boat Commission, and Springfield Township.

Brian McGrath

Appointed by Kathy Fatica, reappointed by Terry M. Scutella - District 1 | Term expiration: December 31, 2026

McGrath retired at the end of 2017, after serving 24 years as Millcreek Township Supervisor. He also served over 10 years on the Executive Board of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors, six years as an officer. A strong proponent of the Erie Area Council of Governments, McGrath lead the organization on multiple occasions.

Jack Lee

Appointed by Dr. Kyle Foust, reappointed by Brian Shank - District 5 | Term expiration: December 31, 2024

A current Summit Township Supervisor since 2014, Jack has previously been a union roofer since 1981, the Business Manager of the Roofers Union Local 210, and served on the roofer’s Executive Board for 19 years. Jack and his wife Denise have traveled the country working for Nascar Race Teams, and are both very active in charity projects locally and nationally. When he’s not hunting, fishing, or riding his Harley, Jack and Denise reside in Summit Township, where he was born and raised.

David Mitchell

Appointed by Scott Rastetter - District 6 | Term expiration: December 31, 2023

Former Mayor of the City of Corry, PA. In his past career David started his career as the Mayor of Corry for one term (1982-1986). He went on to be a Erie County Councilman for 14 years, During that time he served as President of the County Commissioners Assoc. of PA. He then served Governor Corbett as the Director of the Governor's Office in Northwest PA ( 15 Counties. ) He was elected for his second term as the Corry Mayor in 2017. He has also served on the PA Local Government Committee and the Governor's Advisory Committee for Library Development for 30 years having been appointed by 5 different Governors and served under 7.

Michael J. Fuhrman

Appointed by Mary Rennie - District 3 | Term expiration: December 31, 2024

Michael Fuhrman was born in Frankfurt, Germany, the son of a U.S. Army Master Sergeant. He relocated to his family’s hometown of Erie at the age of seven, where he grew up in Marvintown at 27th and Parade Streets, going on to graduate from St. John’s parochial school, Academy High School, and Mercyhurst University all on Erie’s east side. An All-City linebacker on Mercyhurst’s inaugural football team, Mr. Fuhrman graduated in 1985 with a B.A. in Dance (Ballet). He spent the next two and a half years working in Germany, touring extensively throughout Europe before returning home as Lake Erie Ballet Company’s first principal dancer. He earned a second degree in English from Mercyhurst and a Masters in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Previously, he has served as the Director of the 1995 Greater Erie Bicentennial, the founding Director of Mercyhurst University’s Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center, Project Manager for Destination Erie and founder of the Jefferson’s Civic Leadership Academy. Michael has served on state and local boards for the past 25 years. Currently, he is the chairman of the Three Forts of Presque Isle and Interpretive Center, a heritage tourism project designed to reclaim Erie’s early history and incentivize economic development in Erie’s lower Eastside. He spends a lot of his time reading, writing, advocating, and lecturing on ways to mobilize social equity projects for local economic and cultural development. He is an avid artisan bread baker. He is married to Tina (Kaliszak), also a proud Eastsider and together they have two sons, Erich and Eliot.
